Got to agree there Joe, a good evening's entertainment, and the break in the middle allowed me to sit and have some grub... I noticed how you managed to finish a few races Joe - and we won't tell your brother that you were racing HIS hyper 7 !
I also notice that all of you new chaps that have joined at Laughton are slowly getting your buggies and your driving skills well sorted -the reliablility is up and the racing is getting closer.
Mark (sparks8) acheived his first night ambition, to still be running at the 'race over' call - despite the steering servo dying I think he had a good night.
We seem to be a Hyper 7 buggy club - easy for swopping spares etc., maybe we ought to approach Hobao for a bit of sponsorship ! Sir Harvo (carl) seems to be getting into the groove, getting a bit more competitive now are we? you're going to have to work on your 360's though - and less braking off the ramp Carl, it stops the nose dives!
Can't wait till spring time - see all you chaps race on the outdoor track - a lot faster and loads more fun....
See you all next week - it'll be the last meet until after Christmas, we start back on Jan 6th - so for your final fix in 2008 make sure that everything's sorted for Tuesday... |

I think i beat Sir Harvo (Carl) on my best lap time and average lap time on the last race but not by much on best something like 0.2 of a second, but not on overall laps because my Shock Broke, Oh well should be running next week fingers crossed. By the way i would just like to say whenever i have been racing there is such a good atmosphere. |

I thought Heat 2 was VERY close last night. Everyone seemed to be of a similar skill level which makes for good racing. The driving skills of the new members has stepped up a notch.
See everyone on Tuesday

If you're stuck at home - get your buggy finished!!!!!
Whilst we know you want it to be finished to the highest order, painted to perfection, etc., etc., you KNOW you'll damage it so get it ready to run and get it on track. We'll miss you marshalling skills - but it is time you actually raced.
Aim for Jan 6th - new year, new racer! Have a good Christmas Smog!

Haha, does your key fob still work since you burnt it with your laser?? . I must say the races last night all started off very close which made it good to enjoy. You know we were talking about getting a form of sponsership, and someones suggested this before but Hobao?? So many of us are running them. Anyway wishing you a merry xmas hope santa brings all your toys And thanks for the racing so far |
