When I was a bairn we where let out from down pit for a day for our hol's - Sometimes, if we had been good, we even got a slice of bread with little furry monsters all over it. My Daa once promised me that one day I would be a miwionair

Them there good ole days

Just to nudge this thread along ............... must say that the track layout last night was SUPERB!!! It seemed a nice long lap and used the space in the arena really well.
That Castor Fusion 1/8th scale electric Buggy was great to watch and really held its own against the Nitro ones. Its just so weird that it flies round the track in complete silence.

I'm on holiday from saturday so won't be along next week.

got to agree with that Nick, good racing last night. Need to keep an eye on that Caster, it will be interesting on the larger track for sure.

That Caster is a danger! - remember when you were a kid and stuck a piece of card on your bike forks to make that motorbike noise? well that Caster should have similar! a couple of times it took me by surprise, racing round in Stealth mode!

Quite fancy something like that myself...no noise, no oily mess, switch on and go!

If nitro fuel continues to rise in cost, we may be changing to battery power than than pay £35 - £40 for a gallon of fuel.

As Jim said though, you can't beat the smell of burning nitro fuel and the scream of a Nitro truck at full tilt!!

The sound of 6 whining electric motors racing round a track really isn't up to much.

Having owned electric and nitro cars, I find nitro more fun. I think its because, like many, the smell and noise e.t.c.
Slightly off topic, but speaking of electric vs fuel. The LeMans Series are allowing hybrid LMP1 cars this year! They must use the electric motor in the pitlane!

Bet you lot are at Laughton getting all sorted for an evenings racing.

I'm sat in a small cottage 1000ft above sea level at the top of a large hill in the middle of Bodmin Moor. It is so high that yesterday evening and this morning we were in the cloud and couldn't see a chuffin thing. To the north west we are looking over Bodmin Moor and out of the front french door we are looking over Dartmoor. The only complaint is that its sooooo quiet!!

Hope ya'll have a good evenings racing, see you next Tuesday!!

Damn good night's racing - close and competitive!, In fact, I'd go as far to say that it's been one of the best club nights racing at Laughton to date, a few commented on how 'fast and furious' it was....excellent!

Must be good on Bodmin Moor - so interesting in fact, he's on the internet! bet you're really missing us ...have a good holiday,

Oh...... and beware the Beast of Bodmin Moor.....
